Volunteer

Thank you for showing interest in join our volunteer team at Whale LAN! 

Volunteer Requirements:

• A positive, can do attitude!
• Volunteers must wear closed toed shoes at all times when volunteering.
  • Additional PPE (gloves, safety glasses) are available on-site if needed.
• If you are under 18 we will require parent / guardian permission.

Setup / Teardown

Help use setup on the Friday before the LAN or teardown the event once it ends.

Perks:

• Get some swag!
• (TBD) Bring in your setup early on Friday, post setup completion.

 

Event Team

Help out with a variety of tasks throughout the LAN. Stage activations, tournaments, game management, check-ins and more.

Perks:

• Volunteer Badge - Access the event when your not volunteering.
• Team BYOC Area - bring your setup and game, when you're not volunteering.
• Team Parking - Park in our reserved parking spots close to the entrance.

F.A.Q.

Do I need to buy a ticket to volunteer?
If you are accepted onto the Event Team, then No.
If you are only joining us for Setup / Teardown then you will still need a ticket to attend.

I already bought a ticket, but I also got accepted to volunteer. Can I get a refund?
If you purchase a ticket, but are accepted as a volunteer at a later point in time then please message an employee in the team chat through discord to get information on next steps.
